- Police are asking for the public's help in the recent shooting in Manchester on Saturday night, if you have information please contact them. The late Saturday night shooting was at the Cheers and Beers restaurant on Elm Street. Officers on patrol downtown were flagged down to help a 29-year-old man who was in an alley behind the restaurant with a gunshot wound. (Patch)
- Are you eligible for a COVID-19 booster shot? On Thursday, federal health officials took another swing in fighting the pandemic and approved a Pfizer vaccine booster shot for millions of Americans. Both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and a panel of advisers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approved a scaled-back version of President Joe Biden's plan that was announced last month. Only certain groups of people are eligible. Here's how to know if you can get a third shot. (Patch)
- The countdown has started for some police officers in New Hampshire. A new state law called 'Laurie's List' requires the state to make the list of police officers that have potential credibility issues available to the public. But it also gives police officers time to contest their placement on the list before it's made public. A letter was sent to all current and former police officers who are on the list. According to Geoffrey Ward of the Attorney General's Office, under the new state law, that notification starts a countdown for officers on the list. (NHPR)
- The Currier Museum of Art celebrates two long-forgotten masterpieces of American art with an exhibition called: “WPA in NH: Philip Guston and Musa McKim.” The well-known artist Philip Guston and his wife, poet/painter Musa McKim, painted two expansive murals measuring 14-feet wide for the federal forestry building in Laconia, New Hampshire in 1941. The paintings were carefully restored by the U.S. General Services Administration, and are now on exhibit at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester. (Manchester InkLink)
