Police Investigating Reported Sunday Morning Stabbing
Manchester Police are investigating a reported stabbing which they responded to Sunday morning
MANCHESTER, NH - MPD, MFD, AMR Sunday morning at 7:53 am responded to Elm Street near Central St for a reported stabbing.
One person was reportedly transported to a local hospital.
MPD announced the closure of Elm Street between Pleasent and Central St and cordoned it off with crime scene tape.

MPD Detectives were on scene for several hours Sunday morning photographing the scene and gathering evidence.
MPD Issued the following press release which refers to it as an assault, however, the MPD log for the dispatch was for a stabbing, in the press release they do not elaborate on what type of injury occurred.

MPD Press Release 12:08 pm - First Degree Assault
"On 6/21/2020 at approximately 0753hrs, the Manchester Police Department located an individual at Central/Elm St with a serious but non-life-threatening injury. The subject was transported to an area hospital for treatment. "
"Officers determined the incident involved a first-degree assault that occurred along Elm Street in the area of Veteran’s Park. The surrounding area was closed while officers conducted their investigation, but has since re-opened."
"Our investigation will continue, and we believe this was not a random act of violence. No additional information is available at this time. If you have any information regarding this morning’s incident, please call the Manchester Police at 668-8711. "
