Propane Truck Rollover Halts 293 Traffic

Truck driver reportedly swerved to avoid direct collision with out-of-control vehicle.

Slick roadway conditions on Route 293 in Manchester may have caused a car to spin out of control, leading to a Wednesday-morning accident that resulted in a propane truck going over a guardrail to avoid a direct collision with the vehicle.

The incident, which occurred on the northbound side of the highway at mile marker 9.8, near to the Hooksett border, has closed one northbound lane of traffic for several hours, according to a release from New Hampshire State Police.

One southbound lane of travel is shut down as well as emergency responders and crews prepare to offload the propane from the truck.  When the truck begins to be moved, New Hampshire State Police, along with NHDOT, will need to shut down both north and southbound lanes of travel.  Manchester PD is currently assisting the NHSP by evacuating occupants living in a half mile radius of this crash for precautionary measures.
