The man appeared to have been swept downriver by the strong current and river which is at a high level. Manchester Fire and Bedford Fire launched boats Thursday evening and searched for several hours.
The search was suspended until Friday morning when NH Fish and Game and Marine Patrol searched the river in conjunction with two Manchester Fire boats and crews on the banks of the river. Fish and Game brought a boat that uses side-scan radar.
