Roadwork Roundup: Several Detours Planned this Week

Here's the latest schedule for Bedford roads expected to be impacted.

As winter nears, the Bedford Department of Public Works and independent contractors are placing a heavy emphasis on completing several active projects.

With that in mind, town officials are advising residents of many spots around town that may be impacted by detours and/or driving delays the next couple weeks.

The following is a list of streets that will be affected:

  • Meetinghouse Terrace is scheduled to be reclaimed and paved beginning Nov. 5.
  • The contractor is scheduled to reclaim and pave Blackbird Drive and Canary Lane the week of Nov. 5.  Drive aprons are scheduled to be paved and shoulder gravel and fine grade are scheduled for Oriole Drive, Hawk Drive and Cardinal Court by Nov. 9.
  • Mailloux Court and portions of Tirrell Road (west of Stephanie Drive) are scheduled to be reclaimed and paved the week of Nov. 5.
  • The wearing course of asphalt will then be placed on Mailloux Court and the westerly portion of Tirrell Road the week of Nov. 12.
  • The contractor is scheduled to pave the wearing course of asphalt on Donald Street on Nov. 9 or Nov. 10. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.
  • Drive apron paving and roadside fine grading for Donald Street is scheduled the week of Nov. 12.
