1. A shoutout to Seth Meyers. On Thursday, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of New Hampshire announced that late night television host and comedian Seth Meyers, who is from Bedford, will perform a live show to benefit CASA of NH and the Granite State Children’s Alliance at SNHU arena in Manchester on Nov. 4. CASA of NH provides a statewide network of volunteers trained to help children and youth who have experienced abuse and neglect. Tickets for the Nov. 4 show at 8 p.m. go on sale at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 18! (Subcription/The Union Leader)
2. Tri-State Megabucks players will have another chance to win. Lottery officials announced they will add another Tri-State Megabucks drawing day every Monday at 7:59 p.m. starting Sept. 18. The Monday drawings will be in addition to the weekly Wednesday and Saturday drawings. Tri-State Megabucks tickets can be purchased in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. The first drawing was in 1985. Since then, players have won 482 jackpots, with 216 winners from Maine, 170 from New Hampshire, and 96 from Vermont! (carriagetownenews.com)
