Shaheen Honors Bedford School
U.S. Senator recognizes Bedford Memorial School for recent accomplishment.

Last month, Bedford Patch reported that Bedford Memorial Elementary School was among a select group of educational facilities distinguished as a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education.
Today, U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) congratulated the three New Hampshire Blue Ribbon Schools – which also included Canterbury Elementary School and Lisbon Regional Middle School – for their academic achievements.
“I am proud to congratulate the students, teachers and administrators at these New Hampshire schools for their well-deserved recognition as Blue Ribbon schools,” said Shaheen. “An excellent education is key not only to students’ success in life, but also to strengthening the American economy. The young people in New Hampshire are our next generation of engineers, inventors and creators and I commend everyone at these schools for their commitment to creating a brighter future.”
The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors K-12 public and private elementary, middle and high schools where students perform at very high levels or where significant improvements are being made in students’ levels of academic performance.
