St. Elizabeth Seton Parish comes before the Bedford Zoning Board of Adjustment July 16 for a project involving proposed additions to the activity center and the main entrance of the church at 190 Meetinghouse Road.
The board is scheduled to convene at 5:30 p.m. in the BCTV meeting room for a non-public consultation with counsel; the public meeting begins at 7 p.m.
The church is requesting a variance for expansion of an existing non-conforming use to build a 2,800-square-foot addition onto the activity center and a 1,200-square-foot addition to the main church entrance.
The applicant is also requesting a variance for expansion of the parking area into the required 50-foot buffer between a residential use and a non-residential use.
The Roman Catholic Bishop of Manchester owns the property.
