State Land in Bedford to Sell for $325,000
DOT parcel was remnant of land acquired for airport access road project.

Gov. Maggie Hassan and the Executive Council on July 10 authorized the New Hampshire Department of Transportation to sell 1.76 acres located on the easterly side of Route 3 to Sentinel Acquisition Corp. for $325,000.
The DOT will compensate Prudential Verani Realty from the proceeds in the amount of $19,500 for real estate services, according to the contract before governor and council.
The land was originally purchased with 81 percent federal funds and 19 percent highway funds, so the money will be credited along those ratios to the respective state accounts.
The land in question is on the southeast corner of Route 3 and Iron Horse Road in Bedford.
It was acquired in 2004, the remnant of a larger parcel acquired in connection with the construction of the Manchester Airport Access Road project.
There is no access to the land from Route 3 and the only access will be from Iron Horse Road, according to state documents.
