  1. Vail Resorts, the company that owns the Stowe Mountain ski resort in Vermont as well as 33 other resorts across the country (including Attitash, Crotched Mountain, Mount Sunapee, and Wildcat in New Hampshire), announced that skiers will be required to be masked inside the resorts and restaurants this season to help combat the spread of COVID-19. Children 12 and over will also have to show proof of vaccination before eating in the restaurants or resorts. Vail Chairman and CEO, Rob Katz said they are lucky that most of the resort experience is outdoors. (Eagle Times)
  2. Police have released the identity of two dead men found in Manchester. Investigators said the two men appeared to be homeless and their deaths do not appear to be suspicious. Several dead bodies were discovered in Manchester last year. Police did not release the cause of death, but said the deaths did not appear suspicious. The identities of most of the people who died were not released, making it harder for friends of people who are missing to find out who the person was. (Jeffrey Hastings)
  3. Staff shortages across New Hampshire are putting a strain on hospitals. High numbers of people are filling up emergency rooms and hospital beds. Lynn Photiades, of Bedford, visited a relative who was a patient at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and witnessed the staffing crunch firsthand. It was "very full downstairs" with people in chairs, and on gurneys in the hallways, she said, adding that the health care staff was working as hard as they could. Elliot Health System in Manchester said they have raised minimum wages to attract more workers. (WMUR Manchester)
  4. Find peak foliage in New Hampshire using the Fall Foliage Tracker on the VisitNH.gov website. It can help you figure out the perfect time and place to view peak foliage this year in New Hampshire. (VisitNH.gov)
