Two Men Arrested Attempting to Flee Stop & Shop Robbery
Crimes occurred Saturday morning.

Bedford Police, at approximately 10 a.m. Saturday morning, responded to a reported shoplifting at Stop & Shop at 7 Kilton Road.
Officers were told that a suspect – later identified as 21-year-old Donald Johnson of Manchester – had fled the area on foot.
Johnson was found in a nearby business parking lot and taken into custody. He's been charged with robbery and is scheduled to to be arraigned in Merrimack District Court on Monday, Jan. 7. He's currently being held on $5,000 cash bail at the Hillsborough County Jail.

While officers were investigating the initial call, a second suspect – 20-year-old George Johnson of Manchester – was also detained after he attempted to flee from the ongoing investigation at Stop & Shop.
He was quickly apprehended, arrested on a bench warrant and charged with willful concealment, resisting arrest and simple assault.

He is being held without bail at the Hillsborough County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, Jan. 7 at the Merrimack District Court.
