- A hazardous weather warning and heat advisory has been issued in our area for Thursday and possibly Friday by The National Weather Service. Forecasters and state environmental officials warned of high levels of pollution and declining air quality with a high heat warning in effect on Thursday. The alert stated: “Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.” (Patch)
- A new $60 million, 144-bed behavioral health hospital is planned for Southern New Hampshire. The Board of Trustees of SolutionHealth, parent organization of Elliot Health System and Southern New Hampshire Health, formed a joint venture with Acadia Healthcare to bring a new mental health care hospital to our area. Once a location is determined, "construction would begin as soon as possible" to complete the new hospital as early as 2025, according to a spokesperson from SolutionHealth. (Manchester Ink Link)
