Here are five things you should know in Bedford today.

1. Knowledge is power. The Kendall Shop Museum and Schoolhouse #7 is open for free admission. Be sure to stop by and learn more about Bedford. 2. Get to know your local authors! Carlyle Place, located at 40 Route 101 in Bedford, is pleased to announce a quarterly series with the Granite State Ambassadors, “Getting To Know Your GSA’s” that will begin today. Author and Granite State Ambassador, Richard Hatin, will be at the center to present his mystery novels, Deadly Whispers and Evil Agreement. This presentation is free and open to the public. 3. Someone call the dentist! Barring unforeseen circumstances (See 2011 & 2012) 2013 Bedford Trick or Treat hours take place from 6-8 p.m. on Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31.
