Wind Knocks Out Power to Hundreds in Bedford

Powerful winds are whipping through the region, knocking out power to electric customers across the state.

In Bedford, 580 of 9,183 customers (6%) were without power as of 3:00 p.m., according to Public Service of New Hampshire outage map.

Statewide, PSNH is reporting 5,610 customers without power. Unitil is reporting 2,069 of its New Hampshire customers are without power, and 2,888 New Hampshire Electric Co-op customers have no electricity. Liberty Utilities has about 600 New Hampshire customers without power, including 273 in Pelham.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for Southern New Hampshire through 7 p.m., with gusts of up to 50 mph possible.
