- After a January crash in Bedford, a Weare woman was indicted on first and second-degree assault charges. Karin Strandnes, 54, of Abijah Road is accused "of using a car as a deadly weapon and striking another person’s vehicle, causing injury." The incident happened in Bedford on Jan. 21. (Bedford Patch)
- High school football is back in New Hampshire. Players returned to both turf and grass fields getting ready for fall. Football teams kicked off practices for the 2023 season on Friday, while Massachusetts teams start practicing next Friday, Aug. 18. In 2022, the Timberlane Owls advanced to the Division 1 semifinals, but lost to Bedford in the state championship. Stay tuned. This promises to be another exciting season! (Eagle-Tribune)
