Young Child Struck And Killed On A Bicycle In Manchester: Police

Manchester Police are on the scene of a fatal accident involving a young child on a bicycle who was struck by a vehicle

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police are on the scene of a fatal accident in the area of Schuyler St and Flaherty Ln.

Manchester Fire, and AMR ambulance responded to a accident on the city's west side shortly after 3:00 p.m. The accident was initially called in as a pedestrian who had been struck. When the first Manchester Fire unit arrived, first responders found a young child which had been struck on a bicycle.

MPD Spokesperson Heather Hamel says the driver remained on scene. Radio traffic and eyewitness statements at the scene originally reported the vehicle fled the scene.
