19-Year-Old Hospitalized After Ejecting From ATV In Weare

WEARE, NH – A 19-year-old was hospitalized with serious injuries after an off-highway recreational vehicle (OHRV) crash in Weare on Saturday afternoon.

Just after 3:00 p.m., New Hampshire Fish and Game was notified of a crash in the Hopkinton-Everett Riding Area, specifically on the Bassett Mill Loop trail. Multiple agencies, including the Weare and Dunbarton Police and Fire Departments, responded to the remote scene.

Due to the difficult location, crews from all responding agencies worked together to find and rescue the individual quickly.

A Conservation Officer identified the operator as Wesley Olmeda Baez. According to the investigation, it appears that Olmeda Baez was ejected from his all-terrain vehicle (ATV) while traveling on the trail.

Officials believe unreasonable speed was the main factor in the crash.

Weare Fire Rescue transported Olmeda Baez to Concord Hospital for treatment.
