Homeless Man Accused Of Threatening To Skin Woman Alive With A Box Cutter: Merrimack County Indictments

Man accused of failing to return 2007 rental car; women face drug sale charges; Hooksett woman indicted on assault on elderly woman charges.

CONCORD, NH — A grand jury in Merrimack County recently indicted the people listed below.

Candice Gonzales, 46, of South Main Street in Pittsfield, on a felony theft by unauthorized taking charge. She was accused of stealing $5,998.96 from Tractor Supply in Chichester between July 2 and Aug. 2.

Paul Hale, 58, of State Street in Millinocket, Maine, on a felony unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle or rented property charge. He was accused of having custody of a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu owned by Avis and failing to return it in Concord on Oct. 1, 2007.

Alexander M. Hardy, of Taylor Drive in Reading, Massachusetts, on receiving stolen property-more than $1,500 and criminal mischief-more than $1,500 charges, both felonies. Hardy retained a 2012 Nissan Cargo Van, owned by another person, and stripped it of more than $1,500 in various parts, in Hill on July 24.

Laura Hazelton, 34, of Currier Road in Hill, on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-sale of a narcotic drug-fentanyl-subsequent charge in Franklin on July 22. Previously, she was convicted on a controlled drug sale charge in Merrimack County Superior Court in January 2024.

Jeremie Hooper, 53, of Knowles Farm Road in Northfield, on a felony count of theft by unauthorized taking with two prior convictions. He was accused of exercising control over a woman’s prescription medication in Northfield on July 19.

Tammy Hosmer, 38, a homeless woman now located in Franklin, on controlled drug act; acts prohibited-possession of narcotic drug with intent to distribute-crack cocaine-subsequent, controlled drug act; acts prohibited-possession of a narcotic drug-crack cocaine, controlled drug act; acts prohibited-sale of narcotic drug-subsequent-fentanyl, controlled drug act; acts prohibited-possession of a controlled drug-subsequent-methamphetamine, controlled drug act; acts prohibited-possession of a narcotic drug-subsequent-fentanyl, controlled drug act; acts prohibited-possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute-meth-subsequent, and controlled drug act; acts prohibited-possession of a narcotic drug with intent to distribute-fentanyl-subsequent charges, all felonies, on Aug. 27 in Franklin. Previously, Hosmer was convicted of intent to distribute a narcotic drug in Merrimack County Superior Court in October 2018.

Samantha Hoy, 40, of Corriveau Drive in Hooksett, on first-degree assault, reckless conduct, domestic violence, and two second-degree assault charges, all felonies. She was accused of repeatedly beating an elderly woman with a cane, causing lacerations, on Aug. 22 in Hooksett.

Joseph Herne, 39, a homeless man now located in Concord, on a felony possession of fentanyl charge in Northfield on May 26.

Alhaji B. Kargbo, 36, of King Street in Manchester, on a felony anti-theft laws, offenses, penalties charge. He was accused of making a false statement on the application for a certificate of title for a 2017 Kenworth truck by stating he was the owner when he was not on April 8.

Jared King, 52, of West Salisbury Road in Salisbury, on a felony burglary charge. He was accused of burglarizing an apartment on West Salisbury Road in Salisbury to commit the crime of violation of privacy on July 4.

Matthew J. Knee, 34, of Hooksett Road in Hooksett, on a felony theft by unauthorized taking or transfer. He was accused of using more than $1,500 from the CHS Legacy Foundation for non-charitable purposes between June 1, 2022, and Feb. 22, 2023. Jacob A. Lawrence, 25, of Kelly Corner Road in Pittsfield, on a felony operating after certification as a habitual offender charge. He was accused of driving on Route 28 in Pittsfield on Sept. 8 after being deemed a habitual offender by the NH DMV in July 2024.

Cole Michael McCloud, 33, a homeless man now located in Pembroke, on domestic violence, criminal restraint, two second-degree assault, and two kidnapping charges, all felonies. He told a woman, an intimate partner, while on top of her, holding a box cutter within inches of her face, that he would skin her alive or words to that effect, according to the indictments. Another indictment accused him of strangling the woman and choking her with an item around her neck and pulling it, causing a scrape on Sept. 16 in Pembroke.
