Perp With Priors Flees From Hooksett Cops, Pummeled By Homeowner In Manchester Garage

HOOKSETT, NH — Hooksett police were dispatched to the area of Kohl’s for the report of a theft that had just occurred Saturday.

The vehicle fled the area toward Home Depot and Hooksett Police Officer Foley located the Kia Forte, leaving the Home Depot parking lot. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle on Route 3A, but the vehicle continued on to Manchester, reaching speeds of over 70 mph, according to police.

It was discovered the vehicle pulled into Regency Place Apartment Complex, and the driver, Lacey Page, 32, of Groton, Vermont, and two others fled on foot from the vehicle. Manchester police and New Hampshire State Police assisted multiple Hooksett officers and quickly located Paye and Jacob James, 35, of Strafford.

The third suspect fled into a neighborhood on Stark Lane near Route 3A. Police were alerted by an alert resident who saw the man, later identified as Anthony Manning, 32, of Haverhill.

While multiple Manchester Police officers searched the area, residents at a house on Stark Lane located Manning inside their garage. They attempted to detain the suspect, who began to fight with the multiple residents in the garage trying to detain him.

Police quickly arrived and handcuffed Manning, and took him out of the garage where the residents had found him. Manning was injured in the struggle with the residents.

Manning had multiple warrants and once searched, he was offered medical services, which he refused. No residents were injured in the incident.

Paye was charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, disobeying an officer, speed, and multiple drug possession charges. Paye was bailed on $500 cash and released with a court date of June 27 at the 6th Circuit Hooksett District Court.

James was arrested on an unrelated parole warrant out of Rockingham County. Manning was charged by the Manchester Police with criminal trespass, resisting Arrest, and unrelated warrants.

The vehicle was seized pending a search warrant, and further investigation into the incident may result in additional charges for all subjects. Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Foley at 603-624-1560, Ext. 407.
