Affair Triggered Homicide Of Missing Man That Led To Murder: Docs
Armando Barron of Jaffrey charged with capital murder; wife Britany Barron charged with crimes connected to the death of Jonathan Amerault.
JAFFREY, NH — Jonathan Amerault, 25, was reported missing by his mother on Sept. 21 who advised police he had not been seen since Sept. 19.
According to court paperwork, Amerault did not show up to work at Teleflex Medical in Jaffrey. Neither Amerault nor his Subaru was able to be located..
Police contacted Teleflex who told them Amerault did not show up to work and a close co-worker, Britany Barron, also did not come to work either, according to court documents. According to co-workers, they believed Amerault and Barron were involved in a relationship, despite her being married, an affidavit stated.

Court paperwork indicated Britany Barron called Teleflex Human Resources and told them she was quitting her job and would not be reporting to work.
Authorities went to 63 Main St. listed as Britany Barron’s address. They made contact with her mother-in-law. The mother-in-law told them that her son Armando Barron and Britany Barron were hiking in Northern New Hampshire. She advised she was watching their children.

Contact was made with Armando Barron and he advised the last time he saw Britany was on Sept. 18 around 2 a.m. when he dropped her on the side of the road in Temple. She told Armando she was going camping with friends because she was despondent over their marriage.
Armando told authorities he drove to Errol because of his state of mind and didn’t want to return home to his kids in that state of mind. Authorities in the court paperwork indicate that using mapping software Errol is 193 miles, and over a three-hour drive from Jaffrey.
On Sept. 22, Jonathan’s cell phone history was accessed. It showed his phone had been in Keene, and then Jaffrey. His cell phone records indicated it was used to call Britany’s residence, and Teleflex.
NH Fish and Game officers were directed to a campsite in the northern part of the state where they heard a dog barking. Britany Barron was at the campsite trying to quiet the dog.
As the NH Fish and Game Officers approached they made contact with Britany who had a pistol in a pouch on her midsection. They also located a large brown tarp which was covered in branches, the tarp was determined to be covering a portion of the body of Jonathan Amerault.
Court paperwork indicated Armando Barron had gone through Britany’s cell phone and discovered she was having an extramarital affair with Amerault. He confronted Britany at the Main Street address assaulting her and at one point placed a gun in her mouth, breaking her teeth. Her 9-year-old child according to paperwork witnessed part of the assault.

NHSP and the NH Attorney General's Office announced that Armando Barron is accused of capital murder. Details of the arrest and charges of the husband and wife are outlined here.
