After 2 Months Of Investigating, No Leads In Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash On Concord’s Loudon Road: Follow-Up

Cops are looking to speak to anyone on Loudon Road between 7 and 7:10 p.m. on Oct. 3; the vehicle appears to be a 2006-2011 Honda Civic.

CONCORD, NH — It has been two months since the death of Elisabeth Benoit, 43, the victim of what appears to be a hit-and-run crash on Loudon Road on Oct. 3, but police are still searching for leads.

Around 7:10 p.m., police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the area of 231 Loudon Road for a report of a crash involving a car and a bicyclist. The bicyclist, a woman, later identified as Benoit, was on the ground while the vehicle left the area before police or EMTs arrived

Benoit was taken to Concord Hospital, where she died later.

Lt. Thomas Yerkes, of the Concord Police Department’s Bureau of Investigations, said the department was still investigating the crash. He said investigators were requesting to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or anyone driving in the area of the Irving gas station on Loudon Road between 7 and 7:10 p.m. Oct. 3. Yerkes said a suspect “has not been identified.” The vehicle, however, is believed to be a light-colored 2006 to 2011 Honda Civic with black rims and a sunroof.
