The single most important pressing issue facing the community is _______ and this is what I intend to do about it
The single most important issue the community is facing is high property taxes. We are spending more and getting less revenue. The city has too many projects going on, and the current city council thinks the only way to get more revenue is by raising everyone's property taxes. This is what I intend to do: we can grow the tax base without raising rates, we can redevelop underutilized properties, such as the mall, and or city-owned land, which could be turned into revenue-generating housing or commercial projects.
List three other things you would like to work on if elected or re-elected
- Control spending
- Homelessness
- Purple bags to be suspended
Name a couple of accomplishments in the past that show you can handle this position
I am in a business partnership with my family, I know how to balance a budget.
Share any other thoughts or ideas you would like voters to know about yourself
I'm running for city council because I deeply care about the future of our city, and I want to make sure that our city remains a place where families, seniors and businesses can thrive.
I believe local government should be practical, responsive, and focused on results, not politics. For me public service is about solving problems and improving quality of life, not headlines. At the end of the day, I want Concord to be a city where we look out for one another, where opportunity is within reach for all and where we can be proud to call Concord our home.
