3. Bedford tolls to stop taking cash Jan. 8 (unionleader.com) — If you use the Bedford tolls, be ready: starting 10 p.m. Jan. 8 they’ll stop taking cash and switch to all-electronic payment. 4. AG Formella Pushes Meta to Take Action on Misleading AI Weight Loss Ads (indepthnh.org) — From his Concord office, Attorney General John Formella is pressing Meta to crack down on misleading, AI-generated weight loss ads on Facebook and Instagram, especially those pushing non-FDA-approved GLP-1 drugs. He and other attorneys general say these ads often hide health risks, target body insecurities around the holidays, and misuse AI-created images and fake spokespeople, and they want Meta to enforce its own rules.

5. After not meeting for a year, GOP lets Senate Democrat chair EFA oversight panel (unionleader.com) — A Concord retired teacher is raising concerns that the nonprofit managing New Hampshire’s Education Freedom Accounts hasn’t filed required expense reports since 2022–23, even as enrollment and costs have surged. At a long-delayed oversight meeting, Republicans praised EFAs as popular and successful, while Democrats questioned accountability, impacts on public school funding, and called for more detailed reporting and assessment data.
