MANCHESTER, NH — An Allenstown woman has been arrested on aggravated driving under the influence, endangering the welfare of a child, and resisting arrest after a crash in Manchester on Monday.

Manchester Fire, AMR, and police responded to the area of 20 Boynton St. for a report of a two-car accident. Officers arrived and located a Hyundai Elantra facing eastbound with significant passenger-side front-end damage and a Honda Pilot facing northbound with minor damage.

Police learned the Elantra was occupied by Shannon Lurvey, 37, of Allenstown, and her twin 11-month-old infants. AMR personnel advised when they arrived at the scene, the children were not properly secured in their child seats, and they began to evaluate the infants, police said.

Lurvey was agitated and uncooperative, and officers believed she was intoxicated, according to MPD Spokesperson Heather Hamel. While officers attempted to make the arrest, Lurvey struggled with them. She was arrested later.

The infants were transported to a local hospital for evaluation and released to a relative.
