Another Run for Romney?

A new poll has him as the Republican frontrunner in New Hampshire should he decide to run again in 2016.

Would Mitt Romney consider running for president again in 2016? It's too early to say, but a new poll shows he's in a good position in New Hampshire should he decide to give it another go.

The poll, conducted by Purple Strategies, a bipartisan public affairs firm, has Romney as the Republican frontrunner here, with 25 percent of the vote. He's followed by Rand Paul at 18 percent, Chris Christie at 17 percent, Jeb Bush at 13 percent, Ted Cruz at 7 percent and Bobby Jindal at 5 percent. The poll also shows that Romney is the best liked Republican candidate, with 66 percent favorability, followed by Paul at 53 percent.

A poll released this week by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center that did not include Romney had Paul as the Republican frontrunner in New Hampshire with 16 percent, followed by Kelly Ayotte at 13 percent, Scott Brown at 11 percent and Chris Christie at 9 percent.

On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton continues to lead all other candidates by a wide margin in New Hampshire. The Purple Strategies poll had her leading with 68 percent of the vote, followed by Elizabeth Warren at 13 percent and Joe Biden at 6 percent. The UNH poll had Clinton leading at 74 percent, followed by Biden at 10 percent.
