Christine May Thompson, 44, a homeless woman now located in Concord, was arrested at 1:35 a.m. on Feb. 22 on felony possession of a controlled drug-sale, etc., felony possession of a controlled drug, and two breach of bail charges. On Aug. 31, 2022, officers were sent to Concord Hospital on Pleasant Street for a report of a woman smuggling two loaded syringes in for a family member, an affidavit said. Officers met with hospital security and observed two syringes in a bag with colored liquid inside. Security told officers they “recovered” the syringes from the family member who “admitted to also earlier using illegal drugs and flushing the syringe down the toilet in (the) yellow pod,” the report said. Officers also eyed security video footage which purported to show Thompson sitting down on the floor with the family member, moving the syringes to her side, fidgeting a bit when a nurse came in, and then he extended his arm back, reaching for her hand, and attempted to leave to use a bathroom, the affidavit stated. “At this point,” the officer wrote, “the nurses did not allow (the family member) to use the bathroom and hospital security escorted Christine out of the hospital.” On Sept. 8, 2022, the department received a CD of the video footage — which also included an allegation she was in possession of the syringes before handing them to the family member and before hospital staff could seize the items, the report said. On Dec. 22, 2022, the state police lab confirmed the syringes contained methamphetamine, and a warrant was issued against her for possessing and distributing the drugs, the report said. Since Thompson was out on bail from Aug. 30, 2022, after being arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge, she was charged with breach, too.
Keryn L. Lynch, 38, of Sorrel Drive in Concord was arrested at 8:08 p.m. on Feb. 8 on a felony theft by unauthorized taking-$1,501+ charge. On Dec. 17, 2021, around 7:15 p.m., an officer was sent to Concord Hospital on Pleasant Street for a report of a past-tense theft involving a 2007 Toyota Matrix owned by a hospital employee. During the course of the investigation, police learned the Belknap County Sheriff’s Department had dropped Lynch at the hospital. While she had an ankle monitor, she was not restrained, the affidavit said. After the victim told security about the missing vehicle, security footage was eyed, and a woman with blue hair in green scrubs could be seen entering the Toyota and rummaging around inside. The report said the woman found the vehicle’s keys and fled the area with the vehicle. The report noted the woman ran a red light when exiting the hospital grounds. The employee said they did not know Lynch nor did they permit anyone to take the vehicle, the report said. The employee also told the officer that his wallet was in the vehicle and charges had been made against his credit cards at Wendy’s and Family Dollar in Manchester. The officer later matched the video of the woman stealing the Matrix with booking photos of Lynch, the affidavit said. After speaking with Belknap County, the officer learned the ankle bracelet’s battery had died. The officer built a timeline for when she was at the hospital to the point of being accused of stealing the vehicle and could trace the ankle bracelet from Concord Hospital, to Pleasant Street, to the Everett Turnpike, and then, out of Concord, the report said. The value of the vehicle was around $5,500. A warrant was issued against Lynch on Jan. 14, 2022.
