Brady-Valley Wins Against Portsmouth-Newmarket, 2-1
A penalty shot by Brady-Valley's Tyler Carter with less than 3 minutes to go in the game Wednesday night in Dover sealed the win.
DOVER, NH — Brady-Valley came away with another win away on Wednesday, this time in Dover, against Portsmouth-Newmarket.
After a scoreless first period, Portsmouth-Newmarket broke it open in the second with a goal to take the lead. They held the lead until the middle of the third period when Brady-Valley’s Tyler Carter broke through Portsmouth-Newmarket’s defense with an unassisted breakaway goal, tying the game at 1 to 1.
With 2:50 left in the game, Carter had an opportunity to take the lead with another breakaway but was tripped in open ice, forcing a penalty shot. He scored on the penalty shot, sealing the victory for Brady-Valley.

Brady-Valley’s defense, Jason Doyle, Luke Bedard, Ian Miller, and Travis Garcia, controlled the defensive zone all night. Ronan Heatherman also gave a great performance on the net.
Brady-Valley’s next match is against Alvirne-Milford at 1:40 p.m. on Saturday at Tri-Town in Hooksett.
