Chichester Police Seek Tips After 3-Vehicle Fatal Crash On Route 4 Near Concord Line: Follow-Up

Dover Road in Chichester was closed for several hours after an elderly driver crossed into oncoming traffic near Bailey Road on Thursday.

CHICHESTER, NH — Police are asking for witnesses who may have seen a crash on Dover Road on Thursday afternoon to contact police, according to Chichester Police Chief Joshua Wright.

Around 5 p.m., fire and rescue teams were sent to a three-vehicle crash near Bailey Road. Investigators determined the driver of a Nissan Sentra, a 79-year-old woman, who was driving in the westbound lane of the highway, crossed over into the eastbound lane and collided into a Chevrolet Silverado.

“The Nissan Sentra was then struck by a white Dodge Ram operated by a 66-year-old male who was traveling eastbound who attempted to avoid the collision,” Wright said.

Wright said Pittsfield police, Epsom police, and Chichester Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene. Anyone with information was asked to contact the Chichester Police Department.
