This Coffee May Contain Glass, Chain Issues Recall: What To Know In New Hampshire

Dollar General initiated the recall after getting a tip from a customer. No injuries have been reported, the company said.

NEW HAMPSHIRE — A popular store chain with locations in the Granite State is recalling one brand of coffee because it may contain pieces of glass that can potentially damage teeth, cause cuts in the mouth or throat, or perforate the intestine, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Specifically, Dollar General is recalling three lots of its 8-ounce Clover Valley Instant Coffee distributed nationwide from July 9 to July 21. The package UPC, 876941004069, is found on the neck of the bottle. The recall includes:

  • Lot: L-5163 / best by 12/13/2026
  • Lot: L-5164 / best by 12/13/2026
  • Lot: L-5165 / best by 12/14/2026

Dollar General is investigating the source of the glass contamination, according to the notice.

Dollar General has stores in Boscawen, Concord, Loudon, Merrimack, and Nashua.

Customers who bought the coffee should throw it away and contact Dollar General, either via email at customercare@dollargeneral.com or by phone at 888-309-9030 daily from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. CST to request a full refund of the purchase price (including any tax).
