Concord Beats Keene; Bedford, Exeter, Salem, Portsmouth All Win: NH Wrestling Results
Merrimack, Milford, and Portsmouth win while Manchester West, Londonderry, Windham, and Nashua North and South also compete.
CONCORD, NH — The Crimson Tide wrestling team is now 18-1 after a dramatic win over Keene High School on Thursday, 51 to 22.
The meet started out in the 150-weight bracket, with Concord vaulting to a 36-0 lead. Sawyer McCready won a 5-3 decision in the 150, while Ryley Holt in the 157 and Maximus Chung in the 165 won by fall, Anthony Gualtieri won a 12-7 decision in the 175, and Carl Sirrianna in the 190 and Isaiah Puckett in the 215, also won by pins.
Keene then scored two pins: Evan Ray bested Wayne Gutierrez Sakakeeny in the 285 and Tristin Woodbury in the 106 against Carter Buxton.

Senior Isaiah Brien, down on points, won in a dramatic bout, pinning his opponent in the 120, and the Carter Trubiano of Keene, a co-caption, won the 126 by forfeit. Dominic Schinella of Concord then won in the 132 due to disqualification after Peyton Gowell, a ranked state wrestler, struck Schinella in the back of the head, an illegal move, after a takedown a minute and 15 seconds into the first period of the bout.
Ian Spencer of Keene beat Owen Gregg by a major decision, 13-3, and Jaxon Carter capped off the wins with a 5-3 decision in a grueling match against Leo Runez in the 144 bracket.

JV wrestlers had 16 bouts, with Concord and Keene splitting the wins, 8-8.
It was also senior night for Concord High School. The eight seniors, co-captains McCready and Gualtieri, Jacob Breau, Brien, Damon Corbett, Logan Jenista, Sirrianna, and Annarose Quist, and their families, were celebrated.
Souhegan Takes 2; Hollis-Brookline Beats West
Souhegan High School beat Manchester West, 45 to 25, while winning against Hollis-Brookline by a point. The Cavaliers also beat Manchester.
In the Souhegan vs. West meet, Angel Diaz of Manchester beat Kyle Sukcharoenphon by fall in the 106. By a 9-1 decision, Christian Cruz Velez of West beat Owen Kostecki in the 113. In the 126, Jack Kaler of Souhegan beat Samuel Cruz by fall. In the 132, Landon Carson of Souhegan won by technical fall against Kendric Nunez, 17-1. Austin Silk of Souhegan beat Jadien Suero in the 138 by pin. Colin Taylor of Manchester in the 144 beat Cole Brandt by an 8-6 decision. Chase Knuckles of Souhegan won by technical fall against Astor Sunsin, 18-2 in the 150. In the 157, Jhystoni Rivera of Manchester pinned Marcus Stout, while Sam Albert of Souhegan pinned Michael Rodriguez in the 165. Darwin Brown-Waters of Souhegan in the 175 pinned over Anthony DiGaetano. In the 190, Liam Fisher from Souhegan won by technical fall against Gabriel Guzman, 19-3. Gabriel Holt of Souhegan in the 215 pinned Jayden Nartey.
In extra bouts, Patrick Casey of Souhegan beat Trevor Rosser by pin, Cole Mobley of Souhegan won by an unknown wrestler by pin, Isabelle Brandt of Souhegan beat Aurora Badeau by technical fall, 19-3, and Ava Burbee of Souhegan beat Misel Medina Zorrilla by fall.
Souhegan beat H-B, 42 to 41.
Winning for Souhegan were Kaler in the 126, Carson in the 132, Benjamin Smiley in the 138, Brandt in the 150, and Knuckles in the 157.
Winning by forfeit for Souhegan were Sukcharoenphon, Holt, and John Burkhard in an extra bout in the 132.
Also winning in an extra bout in the 150 for Souhegan was Marcus Stout.
For West against H-B, Diaz in the 106 won by fall, while Cruz in the 126 won by decision. Colin Taylor won by pin in the 144 as did Sunsin in the 150. Nartey also won by fall in the 215.
Bulldogs Wins In Competitive Match With Windham
The Cougars traveled to Bedford on Wednesday, but the Bulldogs held on to win, 48 to 34.
In the 106, Jackson Ela of Bedford pinned Alex Weick, while Jason Ciano of Windham pinned Samuel Upham in the 113. In the 126, Jacob Hoyt of Windham pinned Eric Gao, as did Henry Palmer of Windham against Damien Kasem in the 132 and Liam McGrail of Windham in the 138 against Alexander Jennings. In the 150, Rocco Ponzini of Windham beat Stephen Gaffney by major decision, 9-0. Tucker Watson of Bedford beat Nolan Lamb in the 157 by fall, as did Calvin Bradley in the 165 against Ryan Hiltz. In the 215, Samuel Cowette of Bedford pinned Jayden Doster as did Gavin McConnell against Jason Scharff of Windham in the 285.
Winning by forfeit were Evan Ortolani of Windham in the 120, Jack Bergeron in the 144 for Bedford, Camden Santos for Bedford in the 175, and Silas Heiser for Bedford in the 175.
Exeter Wins Against The Lancers, 51-17
The Blue Hawks hosted Londonderry on Wednesday and came away with a win.
Dylan Nadeau of Londonderry beat James Smith by major decision, 17-9, in the 132. In the 138, Ryan Grandmason of Exeter beat Jayce Carrasquillo by fall. Nicholas Darby of Exeter won by forfeit in the 144. In the 150, Caleb Holden of Londonderry won against Aidan Shaw by major decision, 12-0, while Manny Perez, in the 157, won for Londonderry over Juan Bueno by major decision, 15-4. Brendan Egan was disqualified in the 165, giving Avery Niemi of Exeter the win. Londonderry’s David Pento won by technical fall against Ryan Mikulsky, 19-4. In the 190, Noah St. Onge of Exeter pinned Lachlan Buttle, while Caleb Sturtevant of Exeter, in the 215, pinned Blake Buttle. Luke St.Onge of Exeter won in the 285 over Dakota Shaffer by technical fall, 16-0. Also winning by pin for Exeter were Lucas Trafton over Anthony Cipolletta in the 106 and Reid Grandmason over Lennox DeLeon in the 113. Cam Roussell (Londonderry in the 120 beat Hudson Berry by decision, 11-9, while Caleb Callaway of Exeter in the 126 won a major decision against Ayden Murray, 9-0.
The Clippers Beat Merrimack At Home
Portsmouth’s wrestling team came away with a win against the Tomahawks on Wednesday, 53 to 29.
Carter Kuhn of Portsmouth beat Avary Berardinelli in the 120 by fall, while Owen Sayball of Merrimack won by technical fall against Logan Chasse, 17-2. Andrew Craig of Portsmouth bested Connor Sayball in the 132 by pin, while Stephen Whisler of Portsmouth also won by pin against Kael McAloon in the 144. Alex Sykora of Portsmouth won by fall in the 157 against Amir Safa. Carter Anderson of Merrimack pinned Emmanuel Poupon in the 175, and Michael Sherburne of Portsmouth also pinned Tyler Hansbury in the 285.
Also winning by forfeits were Charlene Haddad of Merrimack in the 106, Luke Polizzo of Portsmouth in the 113, Landon Shultz of Merrimack in the 138, Dullen Dennett of Portsmouth in the 165, and Cooper Seltsam-Wilps of Merrimack in the 215.
In extra matches, Charlene Haddad of Merrimack beat Luke Polizzo by fall in the 106. Brandon Gendron of Merrimack pinned over Judah D’Antonio in the 126. Landon Shultz of Merrimack in the 138 pinned Nicholas Souza. Leland Eaton of Merrimack in the 190 also pinned Ethan Hubbard.
Spartans Beat Broncos, 54-28
Alvirne High School of Hudson visited Milford but fell short on Wednesday.
Kiernan Lordan in the 126, Cameron Stickney in the 138, Tanner Herbert in the 144, Jace Wilhelmi in the 157, and Noah Kittredge in the 165, all won by pins for Milford. Alvirne then won the next four weight brackets.
Milford racked up four wins by forfeits by Kane Davis, Max Hammerstrom, Phillip Wright, and Josh Enright.
Nashua South Falls To Timberlane, 61-11
The Owls traveled to Nashua South and swept a win against from Panthers on Wednesday.
Winning for Nashua were Ian McCubrey in the 215 by a 4-0 decision, Benjamin Byrne in the 150 by a major decision, 8-0, and Connor Whitman by a major decision in the 165, 11-3.
Timberlane also won four bouts by forfeits.
Salem Routs Nashua North, 77-5
The Blue Devils traveled to Nashua on Wednesday and came away with a huge win against the Titans.
Maddox Boudreau of Salem pinned Christian Rodriguez in the 113, Evan Lynch of Salem pinned Owen Gagnon in the 120, Spencer Buscema of Salem pinned Hayden Durocher in the 126, Caleb O’Rourke of Salem pinned Gavin Page in the 132, Talen Walton Salem pinned over Caleb Smith in the 138, and Carter Lemire of Salem in the 144 won by technical fall against Julian Palladini, 17-0. Kayden Vallerand-Kennaeally (Nashua North, in the 150 bracket, beat Matt Pucci technical fall, 18-2. John Vargas of Salem in the 157 won against Yuri Soraes by fall, Adrian Loria Alicea of Salem in the 165 pinned Fernando Naranjo, Owen Roux of Salem pinned over Connor Rivard in the 175, and James Nelson of Salem in the 215 pinned over Benjamin Laflamme in the 215.
Winning for Salem by forfeit were John Blocksidge in the 106, Zander Wood in the 190, and Jack McElroy in the 285.

On Wednesday, the Bow Falcons beat John Stark Regional, 61 to 17. Goffstown beat Bishop Guertin, 58 to 13. Pelham beat Campbell High School of Litchfield, 47 to 36. Plymouth Regional High School beat Winnisquam Regional High School in a squeaker, 38 to 33. Plymouth also beat Mascenic Regional High School of New Ipswich, 68 to 12. Kearsarge Regional also beat Lebanon, 42 to 36. Newport also wrestled at the Lebanon Tri-Meet, but results were not available.
On Monday, West bested Merrimack, 53 to 16, while Kingswood Regional won against West, 34 to 33. Merrimack also beat Kingswood, 42 to 31.
