Concord Dad 'Raises His Daughters To Be Kind'

CONCORD, NH— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Concord, meet Billy Thompson.

If you know a dad who sends sweet, silly or thoughtful texts your way, you’re pretty lucky. Texts from Dad have a way of putting a smile on our faces — and this Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the fathers behind the phones!

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to shine a light on awesome dads and the funny, insightful things they say. This submission comes from Kelly Thompson who nominated Billy Thompson of Concord.

What makes your dad extra special?

He pushes past daily fatigue and pain to be there for his girls. Billy has multiple sclerosis and was diagnosed shortly before having children. MS is somewhat of an invisible disease. Most people wouldn't know what he's dealing with on a daily basis. He raises his daughters (7 and 9 years old) to be kind first and foremost.

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

Parenting young kids with MS isn't easy! The symptoms are weird and random. He knows his limits but often pushes them for his girls and he wouldn't have it any other way.
