Concord DWI Patrol Set For Thanksgiving Weekend
NH State Police will dispatch officers to track down intoxicated drivers over Thanksgiving weekend.

CONCORD, NH -- New Hampshire State Police will conduct a patrol in the Concord area targeting intoxicated drivers Thanksgiving weekend. The patrol, paid for with federal highway safety money, will be held on the state's busiest travel weekend of the year. State troopers will be dispatched to track down any intoxicated drivers they encounter.
"New Hampshire has some of the most aggressive laws in the country to fight impaired driving and the law enforcement community will use those tools to their fullest extent," State Police Sgt. Vincent Grieco said in a statement.
Police said 127 people have been killed in crashes across the state so far this year.

"Traffic-related fatalities increase around the holidays, and Thanksgiving is no exception," State Police Capt. Jeffrey Ladieu said in a statement. "With so many motorists traveling to attend gatherings and get-togethers with family and friends, it’s important to reiterate and keep in mind, that most crashes during this holiday season are related to impairment. We want everyone to understand that saving lives on New Hampshire roadways is our top priority and we need everyone’s help. This is a great time to remind drivers to be responsible motorists."
