Concord Falls To Timberlane While Merrimack, Salem Win: New Hampshire Wrestling Results

Plus: Nashua North beats South by 1 point; Milford bests Portsmouth; Souhegan, Londonderry, Manchester, and Windham also compete.

HAMPSTEAD, NH — Concord High School wrestlers traveled to Hampstead Wednesday to face the Timberlane Owls for their last match of the season and lost 51-21.

The Crimson Tide took two of the first three bouts, with Isaiah Puckett winning by pin in the 215 and Wayne Gutierrez Sakakeeny in the 285 winning by forfeit. The Owls then went on a 39-point run, winning the next eight bouts. Maximus Chung, in the 157 for Concord, then won by technical fall, 15-0, and Anthony Gualtieri won by major decision, 12-1, in the 175-weight division.

The Owls’ JV wrestlers also beat their Crimson Tide counterparts 5-2.

The Tide was 22-2 for the season.

Londonderry Loses To Pinkerton, 41-38

The Lancers were in Derry to face off against Pinkerton Academy but came up short by a few.

Wrestlers winning for Londonderry include Anthony Cipolletta in the 106 by pin, Lucas DeLeon by tech fall in the 113, 18-0, Cam Rousell in the 120 by forfeit, Ayden Murray in the 126 by pin, Caleb Holden in the 150 by decision, 7-5, Manny Perez by fall in the 157, and David Pento also won by pin in the 175.

Spaulding Beats Central And Memorial

Rochester’s wrestlers traveled to Manchester and beat both schools.

Spaulding beat Central, 55-9, and Memorial, 60-9.

Winning for Central were Jaysuel Mercado-Badillo in the 144-weight bracket by fall and Soal Panyanouvong in the 190 by pin. Angel Lopez in the 215 won by pin while Hyro Melikian of Central won in the 106 by forfeit.

Winning for Memorial were Jyzeah Almonte in the 138 by pin and Jayden Kuilan won in the 285 by decision, 2-1.

Merrimack Beats Campbell, Raymond

The Tomahawks competed against their neighboring wrestlers in Litchfield and came away with two wins on Wednesday.

In the first bout, they beat Campbell 30-27.

Winning for Merrimack were Avary Berardinelli in the 126 by fall while Charlene Haddad in the 106, Kael McAloon in the 144, Cooper Seltsam-Wilps in the 215, and Tyler Hansbury in the 285 all won by forfeits.

There were also four double forfeits.

Merrimack also beat Raymond 42-22.

Owen Sayball won in the 126 by pin as did Seltsam-Wilps in the 215.

Berardinelli in the 120, Jack Anderson won in the 132, McAllon in the 144, Carter Anderson in the 175, and Avery Lanteigne in the 190 all won a forfeit.

There were also three double forfeits.

Raymond also beat Campbell 35-30.

Milford Beats Portsmouth, 53-23

In the 120, Carter Kuhn of Portsmouth beat Kane Davis by tech fall, 22-5, while Kiernan Lordan in the 126 beat Logan Chasse by tech fall, 15-0.

Andrew Craig of Portsmouth in the 132 pinned Max Hammerstrom, while Cameron Stickney of Milford in the 138 pinned, and Stephen Whisler of Portsmouth pinned Tanner Herbert in the 144.

In the 150, Phillip Wright of Milford pinned Michael Shortill. Jace Wilhelmi of Milford beat Alex Sykora in the 157, 6-5.

In the 165, Noah Kittredge of Milford pinned Cullen Dennett while Jack Clancy of Milford pinned Emmanuel Poupon in the 175.

In the 190, Nathanael Post of Milford beat Zack LaValley by decision, 4-0. Brandon Leeman for Milford, in the 285, pinned Michael Sherburne.

Josh Enright in the 113 and Elijah Wales in the 215 won by forfeit for Milford while Luke Polizzo of Portsmouth in the 106 also won by for forfeit.

Nashua North Beats South By 1

In the matchup between both of Nashua’s high schools, North beat South 37-36.

The Blue Devils controlled the Cougars on Wednesday.

Evan Lynch, in the 120 for Salem, pinned Evan Ortolani.

Spencer Buscema of Salem pinned Jacob Hoyt in the 126.

In the 132, Caleb O`Rourke of Salem beat Henry Palmer by pin.

Talen Walton of Salem beat Liam McGrail in the 138 by pin.

Reilly O’Brien of Salem beat Rocco Ponzini by decision, 4-1, in the 150.

John Vargas of Salem beat Nolan Lamb in the 175 by decision, 6-0.

Adrian Loria Alicea of Salem pinned Ryan Hiltz in the 165.

In the 285, Jason Scharff of Windham pinned Jack McElroy.

Winning by forfeit for Salem were John Blocksidge in the 106, Maddox Boudreau in the 113, Carter Lemire in the 144, Owen Roux in the 175, Zander Wood in the 190, and James Nelson in the 215.

Goffstown Beats Souhegan, 41-39

On Wednesday, the Grizzlies went to Amherst to wrestle the Sabers and won in a nail-biter.

Winning for Souhegan included Gabriel Holt in the 215 by pin, Jack Kaler in the 126 won by forfeit, Landon Carson in the 132 won by fall, and Benjamin Smiley in the 138 won by major decision, 10-2. Austin Silk won by pin in the 144, while Noah Daily won by tech fall, 18-0, in the 165. Liam Fisher also won by fall in the 190.

Other wrestling results in the state on Wednesday included Plymouth Regional High School beating Bow, 46-33; Hollis-Brookline beat Bishop Guertin, 53-26; Winnisquam Regional beat ConVal Regional, 72-12, while Winnisquam beat Franklin, 72-12; White Mountain beat Lebanon, 53-17, while White Mountain beat St. Johnsbury, Vermont, 42,-21.
