CONCORD, NH — The assistant coaches for the Concord High School Crimson Tide wrestling team have won a prestigious award from a national wrestling association of coaches.

The coaches were named High School Boys State Assistant Coaching Staff of the Year award winners by the National Wrestling Coaches Association for 2025 for the state of New Hampshire. The coaches, including Nick Zeras, Dan Breen, and Troy Colby, as well as alumni coaches Jamari Arzu, Noah Blake, Kaevryel Madison, Levi Madison, and Hunter Richard, were nominated by other coaches in New Hampshire for the award. They will all be considered for the Section Staff of the Year honors by all the leaders by the organization.

“These awards are about more than just wins and losses,” NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer said. “They recognize the coaches who go the extra mile for their teams, their schools, and the sport. We're proud to shine a light on their efforts.”

The coaches were nominated for putting in extra time and effort to move the Tide forward in the wake of Head Coach Ham Munnell’s wife, Pamela Munnell, being diagnosed with cancer and passing away during the season. Team members and their families, as well as Blue Devil wrestlers from Salem, participated in the Rock ‘N Road Race in Concord on May 7 in her honor, raising the most money of any team this year.

Other coaches competing for the Section award will be Xavier High School in Middletown, Connecticut, an all-boys Catholic prep school; Red Bank Catholic School in Red Bank, New Jersey; Pittsford Mendon High School in Pittsford, New York; and Middlebury Union High School in Middlebury, Vermont.
