Concord High School Wrestlers Sweep 6 Meets At First Super Quad Of The 2025-2026 Season

The Tide notched wins against Goffstown and Pinkerton while trouncing Central, Memorial, Trinity, and Winnacunnet Saturday.

CONCORD, NH — Concord High School wrestlers swept six other high schools in the first Super Quad of the season on Saturday.

The Crimson Tide wrestlers beat Manchester Central 84-0; Manchester Memorial, 75-5; Trinity, 4-0; the Goffstown Grizzlies, 41 to 29; and the Pinkerton Academy Astros, 51-18. Dozens of JV wrestlers from five of the six schools also participated in several bouts.

The meet against the Grizzlies was a nailbiter, with Goffstown winning the first four bouts and leading through 11 bouts, 29-23. In the third-to-last bout, Dominic Schinella, a senior at Concord, pinned his 126-pound opponent in 27 seconds to tie the match and shift the momentum. Owen Gregg, another Concord senior, pinned his 132 opponent, while Ramon Reynolds, in the 138, followed suit, securing the win.

In the bouts against Central, nine Concord wrestlers won by forfeit. In the 113, Biswas Darji of Concord beat Hyro Melikian by pin, while Jaxon Carter in the 144 beat Zachary Heile by pin. Also winning by pin were Leonardo Chung of Concord in the 157 over Rafdy Castillo, Max Chung of Concord over Kailer Colon in the 175, and Puckett bested Michael Lafond in the 215.

In the matches against Memorial, Reynolds beat Jyzeah Almonte by fall in the 138, Daniel Sheehan of Concord in the 150 beat Michael Goodwin by pin, Leo Chung beat Soyam Lama by pin in the 157, Ryley Holt in the 165 beat Ethan Marchant by fall, Jakob Manseau of Concord beat Xavier Moreau, 12-9, and Puckett beat Yazen Al Janabi of Manchester in the 215 by fall. In the 285, Wayne Gutierrez Sakakeeny of Concord beat Michelle Khiev by pin, Schinella beat Luis Breban by pin in the 126, and Gregg beat Devaughn Nedeau in the 138 by fall, too. Three Concord wrestlers won by forfeit.

In the Goffstown meet, Ian Campbell in the 144 bested Carter, Dec 10-3, Benjamin Walton beat Sheehan by major decision, 17-9, in the 150, in the 157, Steven Damboise beat Leo Chung, 5-2, and Sullivan Conley of Goffstown pinned Holt in the 165. Max Chung beat Maxwell Damboise in the 175 by tech fall, 15-0, in the 190, Tyler Osorio beat Manseau by pin, Puckett pinned Alexander Koeppel of Goffstown in the 215, and Wayne Gutierrez Sakakeeny pinned Christopher Finnigan in the 285. In the 106, Daxter Selleck beat Dawsen Nedeau, 13-8, while Biswas Darji, wrestling in the 113, pinned Seamus Arnold. In the 120, Cole Nault beat Khai Jawitz by major decision, 11-0. Schinella pinned Aiden Burton in the 126, Gregg pinned Harold Hieronymus in the 132, and Reynolds pinned Nathan Ely.

In the bouts against Winnacunnet, four Concord wrestlers won by forfeit. In the 150, Sheehan beat Bryce Mixon of Winnacunnet by fall, Leo Chung won against Liam Peters by fall in the 157, Ryley Holt won against Charlie Mahar in the 165 by fall, Max Chung in the 175 beat Connor Nicol by pin, and Puckett won over Anthony Novais in the 215 by fall. Khai Jawitz in the 120 for Concord beat Wyatt Nicol, 9-5, Gregg beat Morgan Shein by fall, Reynolds beat Luke Andruskeivich by fall in the 138, and Carter won against Oliver Perreault of Winnacunnet by fall in the 144.

Against the Astros, Leo Chung, in the 157, beat Cole Kooken by tech fall, 18-2, Noah Cataldo of Pinkerton Academy pinned Holt in the 165, and Max Chung won by tech fall, 18-3, against Landon O’Donnell in the 175. Manseau beat Kellen Whitney, 2-0, in the 190, in the 215 Puckett pinned Harry Yuan, and James Caruso beat Gutierrez Sakakeeny in the 285, 9-2. In the 106, Nedeau won by major decision over Cooper Temple, 17-3, Graham Fernald in the 113 pinned Darji, Jawitz in the 120 won by major decision against Carter Watson, 11-0, and Schinella pinned Dylan Genthner of Pinkerton. In the 132, Gregg pinned Matthew Coleman, Mason Beaudin beat Reynolds, 10-3, in the 138, and Carter pinned Matthew Cowan in the 144. In the 150, Sheehan pinned Owen Tozier.

Carter also beat Casey Horne, the only Trinity wrestler in the 144, 12-2.

Pinkerton also beat Central, 77-6; Memorial, 62-18; and Winnacunnet, 43-30. Other scores were not available online.
