Concord Homeless Camp Fire Extinguished Behind Abandoned TGI Friday

Video: Concord firefighters extinguished a fire on Sunday night behind the former eatery on Loudon Road.

CONCORD, NH — Concord firefighters were sent to a homeless camp fire off Loudon Road on Sunday night.

Just after 7:30 p.m., Capital Region Fire Dispatch began receiving reports about an outside fire behind the former TGI Fridays, which closed several months prior. An engine and a forestry unit headed to the scene.

When firefighters arrived, the battalion commander said an estimated 30 feet by 30 feet area was ablaze inside a homeless camp. The commander said there was no wind, so they believed they would be able to extinguish the fire quickly and did not need backup.
