Concord Man Charged In Cold Case Murder
Richard Ellison was accused of starting a fire that killed 85-year-old Robert McMillan in December 2005.

CONCORD, NH — A Concord man was recently charged with murder in connection with a 2005 cold case. Richard Ellison, 45, was indicted last week on first- and second-degree murder charges in connection with the death of 85-year-old Robert McMillan on Dec. 9, 2005. Ellison was accused of starting a fire in McMillan's North State Street residence.
Firefighters rescued McMillan from the home and he died at a hospital a day later, according to WMUR.
Ellison was arrested in October and has been in custody since. He will be arraigned on the murder charges Jan. 29 in Merrimack County Superior Court.

An indictment means a grand jury determined a trial is warranted based on evidence in the case.
