Concord Man Stabbed In Head: Police

Concord police said Jordan Patterson stabbed a man in the head then fled to the Comfort Inn on Hall Street.

CONCORD, NH — A Concord man was arrested Wednesday after police said he stabbed a man in the head then fled to a motel. Jordan Patterson, 31, was charged with first-degree assault and drug possession. The victim's injuries were not life-threatening, according to Concord police Lieutenant Sean Ford.

The stabbing happened June 17 in the Greenwood Avenue area, according to Ford. Patterson slashed the man in the head and neck, Ford said.

On Wednesday, officers received a tip Patterson may be at the Comfort Inn on Hall Street and possibly armed with a gun.

"Eventually officers located Mr. Patterson hiding the bathroom of a room, occupied by several other associates," Ford said in a statement. "Mr. Patterson was taken into custody without incident. No firearm was located however he was in possession of narcotics."

Patterson was held at the Merrimack County House of Corrections pending an arraignment Wednesday in Merrimack County Superior Court.
