Concord Mom Celebrated By Daughter: 'I Feel Like I Won The Jackpot'

CONCORD, NH— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

I feel like I won the jackpot. My mom is beautiful inside and out. She's an in-home care provider, (having two ladies living full-time in her home), an amazing nana and my best friend. She always puts family first and never asks for anything in return. When my son was 18 months old, he was diagnosed with autism, and I will tell you she is the most patient person you will ever meet. He is 8 now, and I truly believe she is a big part of all his accomplishments and will continue to be. A few years ago my grandmother passed away. My mom used to take care of her as well. We all lived on the same road. That's how close we are. There's so much to write but I don't know how to put it all without it being a whole book. I just know she deserves this so much.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

She's always taken care of everyone. Always doing everything without a break. I don't know how she does it without going crazy.
