Concord Mom 'Does It All,' Gets Creative To Support Her Family

CONCORD, NH— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from Ivna who nominated Ivna Kanash of Concord.

What makes your Mom extra special?

A legal immigrant that lives away from her roots (family and friends), she couldn’t find any daycare available for her 1.5-year-old daughter. So she decided to work as a Portuguese interpreter (over the phone) from 5am to 9am. She gets out of work right when her husband needs to leave for work, so that worked out perfectly. Besides that, she studied very hard to get her life insurance producer’s license, and today she is an independent life insurance agent as well. She helps the Brazilian community, teaching them how to protect their money and themselves. She holds the meetings via Zoom, and she manages her schedule around her husband's schedule since she’s also a stay at home mom.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

She does it all with no help.
