Concord Mom Is 'Everyone's Favorite Auntie,' Family Says
Patch and T-Mobile are partnering to shine a light on awesome moms in the Concord area. Meet Jodi Roos.

CONCORD, NH— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.
This submission comes from Alexa Roos who nominated Jodi Roos of Concord.
What makes this mom extra special?
She had two kids of her own before taking in her two nieces when their mother was unable to provide safe housing and proper care. Growing up, all of our friends and kids in the neighborhood called her "Auntie Jodi." Most still do. We're talking a minimum of 100 Concord youth.
She has opened her home to homeless families at least three times. When our friends started having babies of their own, my mom was involved in their postpartum care and continues to have relationships with all our friends' children. She started volunteering at The Children's Place Parent and Education Center in the 1980s and still spends a lot of time there to this day. She loves teaching parents and she loves all children.
Why do you feel this mom deserves the spotlight?
She goes above and beyond for not only her biological children but for her acquired children as well. Her husband passed away in 2018 and working with the youth and young families in Concord keeps her going. She truly is everyone's favorite auntie.
Happy Mother's Day to Jodi Roos, and thank you for all you do!
