Concord Mom Is A 'Godsend & A Kickass Lady'

CONCORD, NH— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks! Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours. This submission comes from Autumn Shaw who nominated Anita Shaw of Concord.

What makes your Mom extra special?

My mother-in-law is the best Grammy I could have asked for. She's always willing to help out, and I know she loves my daughter unconditionally. Put it this way, when I was on maternity leave, she brought ice coffee when she'd come over. She's a godsend and she's a kickass lady. She's not a knitting Grammy; she's a rock climbing Grammy.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

She doesn't get enough praise - there's no way that I can ever express how much her love and help has meant, but maybe this would be a good start.
