CONCORD, NH— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from Kaleigh Greene who nominated Paula Pinciaro of Concord.

What makes your mom extra special?

Since the day I was born (and even before, I'm sure), my mom has always put my best interests first. She was a single mom working several jobs and still found time to bring me to school, attend my sporting events after school and homeschool me when I was sick for a few years.

Never did I ever doubt my mother or her devotion to providing us with the best life possible.

Now, she often volunteers with me at The Friendly Kitchen, The Granite United Way Food Drives, BSATroop 842, and trail clean-ups.

My mom has helped me become the best version of myself which has led me to dedicate my time to volunteerism and helping my community.

Why do you feel your mom deserves the spotlight?

My mom has always been the "Mom" to myself, my step-siblings, friends and others who may have needed her. She is always everyone's first call when they need someone — to talk to, ask a question or get advice. She is there without ever expecting anything in return.

Happy Mother's Day to Paula Pinciaro, and thank you for all you do!
