Concord Restaurant’s 20th Burgerfest Ends Saturday; Here Are 3 New Ones To Try
The Barley House event, which features 14 offerings as part of a benefit for Children's Hospital at Dartmouth Health, ends Saturday.
CONCORD, NH — The Barley House’s 20th Burgerfest is winding down.
The event ends on Saturday. According to Brian Shea, one of the restaurant’s owners, the one-week run, which raises money for CHaD, the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Health, has been a success so far.
On Wednesday, we checked out three of the new offerings, and they were, well, yummy.

The Cash Cow Burger, sponsored by Sanel NAPA, features a wagyu patty, buttered lobster claw and knuckle meat, house-cured bacon, bearnaise sauce, lettuce, and tomato on brioche. It was very good, although the price of $38 may scare some away. At the same time, you only live once.
The Hot Honey Chicken Barn Burger, sponsored by Feathered Friend Brewing Co., features a fried ground chicken patty, braised pork belly, sweet hot honey, lettuce, and tomato on a potato bun. It has just enough tang to make it work and got the thumbs up from my eldest son.

The Poutine Chili & Egg Burger, sponsored by NH Strategic Marketing, offers a beef patty, fried egg, golden French fries, beef chili, cheddar cheese, and diced onion on a brioche. It was, simply, a beautiful mess.
