Concord Wins 2026 Minickiello Tourney; Souhegan 5th; Portsmouth 6th: NH High School Wrestling Roundup

Milford wins Bow JV tourney, Concord 2nd; Nashua North, Merrimack, and Exeter win at quads; Bedford and Londonderry compete in tourneys.

CONCORD, NH — Concord High School’s Crimson Tide wrestling team won the 2026 annual Minickiello Tournament in Keene on Saturday.

The competition featured boy (co-ed) wrestlers from nearly 40 schools in four states, while girls from 41 schools in four states competed in more than 800 matches.

Concord earned 228 points to take first while Keene placed second with 196.5. Noble of North Brunswick, Maine, came in third with 149 points. Souhegan placed fifth with 146.5 points, while Portsmouth came in sixth with 113 points. Manchester West was 11th, Manchester Memorial was 16th, and Winnacunnet was 20th, Salem placed 24th, and Manchester Central was 31st.

This is the third year in a row the school has taken first place (the Tide placed second in 2023).

In the girls’ division, Noble came in first with 79 points, with Salem in second with 76.5, and Massabesic of Waterboro, ME, third with 65. Keene was fourth with 58 points and Goffstown sixth with 49. Bedford came in 13th, Concord 14th, and Merrimack and Souhegan tied for 16th. Manchester Memorial came in 18th and Portsmouth was 31st.

In Extra bouts, Keene placed first with 18 points, while Concord took third with nine points.

Individual boy results in Patch communities included:

106: Biswas Darji of Concord first, Angel Diaz of Manchester West in second, Kyle Sukcharoenphon of Souhegan in fourth, Nadim Abbari of Manchester Memorial fifth, and Dawsen Nedeau of Concord sixth.

113: Carter Buxton of Concord was fourth.

120: Fifth was Nathan Stout of Souhegan, while Ethan Gahm of Winnacunnet was sixth.

126: Carter Kuhn of Portsmouth was first, while Dominic Schinella of Concord was second.

132: Jack Kaler of Souhegan was first, Samuel Cruz of Manchester West was third, and Owen Gregg of Concord was fifth.

138: Andrew “AJ” Craig of Portsmouth was first and Luke Andruskevich of Winnacunnet came in fifth.

144: Chase Knuckles of Souhegan came in second and Jaxon Carter of Concord came in third.

150: Daniel Sheehan of Concord came in third, while Colin Taylor of Manchester West came in fifth.

165: Stephen Whisler of Portsmouth came in first and Patrick Casey of Souhegan came in third.

175: Max Chung of Concord came in first.

190: Xavier Moreau of Manchester Memorial came in fourth and Jaxson Donahue of Salem came in fifth.

215: Gabe Holt of Souhegan came in first and Isaiah Puckett of Concord came in second.

285: Wayne Gutierrez-Sakakeeny of Concord came in third and Camden Carbone of Concord came in sixth.

In the Extra matches, Troy Hafford of Concord placed third.

JV Wrestlers Battle In Bow

Concord, Milford, Portsmouth, Souhegan, and Winnisquam sent wrestlers to Bow Saturday to compete in a JV tourney.

Milford came in first with 270.5 points, while Concord placed second with 237. Bow was third, edging out Winnisquam, 143 to 142, with Souhegan getting 92 points. Portsmouth had 37 points.

Bulldogs And Lancers Compete In Massachusetts

Both Bedford and Londonderry wrestlers competed in the 2026 Bruce Rich Invitational tournament in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, on Saturday.

For Bedford, Gabe Kenna in the 106-pound bracket was 4-2, Jackson Ela in the 113 was 3-1, Walker Drown in the 120 was 1-2, and Samuel Upham in the 126 was 1-2. In the 138, Damien Kasem was 3-2, Stephen Gaffney was 1-2 in the 144, and Calvin Foxon was 0-2 in the 150. In the 157, Ethan Levesque was 1-2 in the 157, and Gavin McConnell was 3-1 in the 190. Will Riley was 4-2 in the 215, and Matthew Bean was 3-2 in the 285.

For Londonderry, Anthony Cipolletta was 2-2 in the 106-pound bracket, Lennox DeLeon was 3-1 in the 113, Cam Rousell was 4-1 in the 120, and Jackson Butcher was 1-2 in the 126. In the 132, Gabriel Perez was 3-2, while Ayden Murray was 0-2 in the 138, Colin Egan was 5-2 in the 144, Caleb Holden was 2-2 in the 150, Brendan Egan was 3-3 in the 157, and Sawyer Chaffee was 2-1 in the 165. Moqsid Rahmani was 1-2 in the 175, Joseph Rose was 0-2 in the 190, Brandon Dyer was 3-3 in the 215, and Jayden Mahlatini was 0-2 in the 285.

Nashua North Takes 2 At Quad

Nashua North participated in a quad with Kearsarge Regional, Bishop Guertin, and John Stark Regional wrestlers.

The wrestlers won 41-33 against BG and 39-36 versus JSRHS. Against BG, North won six matches by forfeit. Kayden Vallerand-Kenneally in the 150-pound bracket won by tech fall, 16-1. In the bouts against JSRHS, Craig Burge in the 120, Sebastian Ochoa in the 126, Caleb Smith in the 138, Tayvon Moore in the 144, and Gabriel Gotham in the 150 all won by pins. Benjamine Laflamme in the 215 won by tech fall, 20-4.

Windham Hosts Others At Quad

The Cougars hosted Exeter, Milford, and Spaulding at a quad on Saturday.

In available scores online, Exeter beat Windham, 42-26. Reid Grandmason of Windham won by fall in the 113-pound category, while Lucas Trafton won by tech fall, 16-1, in the 126. Brayden Sovereign of Windham in the 132 won by pin while Liam McGrail won by tech fall, 17-1, in the 138. In the 144, Cody Grenier won 7-6, as did Ryan Grandmason in the 150, 5-0. Tristian Bennett of Exeter won by major decision, 13-3 in the 157, while in the 215, Antonion Ciresi won by pin. Exeter also had three forfeit wins, which proved to be the difference. Windham had one.

Milford also beat the Cougars, 76-3. For Milford, Connor Hartigan in the 106, Joseph Fay in the 113, and Max Hammerstrom in the 126 all won by pins. Cameron Stickney won by tech fall, 18-1, in the 138. Calix Lajoie of Milford won by pin in the 144, while Rocco Ponzini of Windham won by a 3-2 decision in the 150. Philip Wright of Milford in the 157 and Brandon Leeman in the 215 won by pins. Five Milford wrestlers won by forfeit.

Windham also lost to Spaulding, 66-17. McGrail won by tech fall, 18-0, for Windham, while Grenier and Ciresi won by pins.

Merrimack Takes 2 Of 3 While Hosting Quad

The Tomahawks hosted Mascenic, Mascoma Valley, and Winnisquam regional high school wrestlers on Saturday.

Merrimack beat Mascenic, 42-24, and Mascoma, 42-31, but lost to Winnisquam, 52-23.

Against Mascenic, Caleb Grandmaison won by tech fall, 19-3, in the 132, while Owen Sayball in the 138 and Landon Shultz in the 144 won by pins. Jack Anderson in the 150 won by major decision, 20-8. In the 165, Cash Torres won by fall, while Nathan Cui won by a 12-6 decision in the 175. Cooper Seltsam-Wilps also won by fall in the 285. There were two double forfeits, with Mascenic winning one by forfeit, and the Tomahawks also taking one bout by forfeit. Mascenic took two of three in extra matches, with Luke Emond of Merrimack winning in the 157 by fall.

In the Mascoma Valley bouts, Merrimack won five by forfeit, while Mascoma won four by forfeit. Cui won in the 175 by pin, with Anderson winning in the 215 by pin. In an extra match, Jaiden Goffin of Merrimack won by pin in the 144.

Against Winnisquam, Sayball won by tech fall, 17-0, in the 144, while Cui won in the 175, Anderson in the 215, and Seltsam-Wilps in the 285 by pins. In extra matches, Seamus Hickey won by fall in the 138.

In other scores, Mascenic bested Mascoma, 48-26, while Winnisquam beat Mascenic, 53-19. Winnisquam beat Mascoma, 64-6.

Other Meets

Nashua South participated in a quad at Hollis Brookline High School, but no scores were available at the time of publication.

No scores were available for Salem High School, which sent wrestlers to the Natick Duals on Saturday.

Timberlane also sent wrestlers to the Spartan Invitational in Maine.

Salem also hosted a New Year’s Eve Double Quad, besting Keene twice, 45-34 and 36-26, but losing to St. John’s Prep, 46-34 and 43-30, as well as losing to Shawsheen Tech, 59-12 and 74-0.
