Concord Wrestlers Beat Londonderry; Milford, Souhegan Win: NH Results
Hollis-Brookline bests Merrimack, Windham falls to Timberlane, and Spaulding beats Nashua South. Bow takes 2, and Winnisquam wins, too.
CONCORD, NH — Concord High School wrestlers had a solid night against the visiting Londonderry Lancers on Wednesday, 56 to 24.
The Lancers came into the match 0-6 for the season, while the Crimson Tide was 2-0. The bouts started in the 126-weight division with Concord’s Cullen Burke pinning Jake McClory. Concord wrestlers followed suit with a fall, a technical fall, and a forfeit to take a 19-0 lead. Londonderry won a match, and Concord won a forfeit and a decision. Londonderry’s David Pento, one of the best wrestlers in the state in his division, posted a win, and then Concord posted three more pins and a forfeit. Londonderry wrestlers then took two pins in the lower-weight categories.
Concord’s JV wrestlers also won four out of the six bouts against the Lancer’s slim squad.

Hollis-Brookline Bests Merrimack
The Tomahawks dropped a match to the Cavaliers, 57 to 19.
Carter Anderson, wrestling for Merrimack in the 175-pound category, won by forfeit, while Tyler Hansbury in the 285 won by technical fall, 17-2. Owen Sayball for Merrimack, wrestling in the 126, won by decision, 11-8, while Connor Sayball, in the 132, had a technical fall (15-0).
Cooper Seltsam-Wilps of Merrimack won in an extra match in the 215 by fall.
Milford Beats Goffstown By 4 Points
The Spartans beat the Grizzlies in a squeaker on Wednesday, 39 to 36.
Winning for Milford were Kane Davis in the 120-pound bracket by technical, 15-0, Calix Lajoie in the 126 by pin, and Max Hammerstrom by forfeit. Tanner Herbert of Milford in the 144 won by fall and Jace Wilhelmi in the 157 won by a medical decision, 10-2. Nathanael Post in the 190 and Elijah Wales in the 215 won by fall, too, for Milford.
Souhegan Clobbers Clippers, 64-13
Amherst and Mont Vernon wrestlers came away with an easy win in Portsmouth on Wednesday.
In the 106 pound category, Julian Zummo of Souhegan beat Luke Polizzo by fall. Carter Kuhn of Portsmouth beat Owen Kostecki by technical, 17-2. Jack Kaler for Souhegan beat Logan Chasse by fall while Andrew Craig of Portsmouth beat Landon Carson, 6-4. Benjamin Smiley of Souhegan won by technical, 16-0, against Nicholas Souza while Stephen Whisler of Portsmouth won by technical against Cole Brandt, 18-0. Chase Knuckles of Souhegan also won by technical against Mikey Shortill, 17-2. Souhegan then won three by falls: Sam Albert in the 157 over Alex Sykora, Noah Daily in the 165 against Cullen Dennett, and Patrick Casey over Emmanuel Poupon in the 175.
Gabriel Holt for Souhegan beat Michael Sherburne of Portsmouth by fall.
Mary Wellen in the 113, Darwin Brown-Waters in the 190, and Liam Fisher in the 215, all won by forfeit for Souhegan.

Spaulding Downs Nashua South, 48-34
The Panthers were in Rochester to face the Raiders on Wednesday but came up short by 14 points.
In the 106-pound category, John Signor of Nashua South won by forfeit, while John McDevitt in the 138 won by fall. Nashua South’s Benjamin Byrne in the 150 won by technical, 19-2, while the 165, Connor Whitman, also won by technical, 19-3. Logan Rice in the 190 and Ian McCubrey in the 215 both won by fall for Nashua South.
Windham Falls To Timberlane, 62-15
The Cougars were unable to catch the Owls on Wednesday in Hampstead.
In the 126-pound bracket for Windham, Jacob Hoyt won by decision, 11-6, while Henry Palmer in the 132 won by fall. Christopher Guarnaccia won in the 144 by fall.
Other Matches
The Bow Falcons took wins on Wednesday against Campbell High School of Litchfield, 78 to 6, and Kearsarge Regional, 71 to 12.
Winnisquam Regional beat Pelham, 49 to 26, while Pinkerton Academy beat Haverhill, Massachusetts, 36 to 33.
Bishop Guertin beat Kingswood Regional, 42 to 34.
