Coronavirus Cancellations Spread To Concord's Memorial Day Parade
Veteran's groups have cancelled Memorial Day parades across New Hampshire.

CONCORD, NH — Across New Hampshire, Memorial Day 2020 is shaping up to be a paradeless affair. On Thursday, the Concord Veterans Council said it had reached "the difficult decision" to cancel the city's annual parade in light of the ongoing spread of the new coronavirus.
In remarks to the Concord Monitor Thursday, Concord Veterans Council Paul Lloyd explained, "We just didn’t want to take a chance of getting a whole bunch of people around each other with all of the restrictions and public health concerns right now."
This week has seen a flurry of Memorial Day parade cancellations: Similar announcements have been made in York, Epping, Nashua and Bedford.
