Drunk NH Teen Drives ATV On I-93: Police

New Hampshire State Police said Derek Meyer was drunk when he drove an ATV on Interstate 93 and tried to run from cruisers.

NEW HAMPTON, NH — A drunk New Hampshire teenager was arrested Friday after police said he drove an all-terrain vehicle on Interstate 93 and ran out of gas. Derek Meyer (pictured), 19, of Northwood, was charged with a host of crimes.

Police said Meyer started his joyride in Northwood then continued to Epsom, I-393 westbound and then I-93 northbound. It is illegal to drive an ATV on those highways.

State troopers caught up with Meyer in Tilton but he did not stop for them, police said. Meyer then ran out of gas in New Hampton and was taken into custody, police said.
