Father Of Missing New Hampshire Girl Arrested: Attorney General
Adam Montgomery faces second-degree assault and other charges from a 2019 incident involving Harmony Montgomery, 7, his missing daughter.
MANCHESTER, NH — The father of a missing Manchester girl has been arrested on charges unrelated to her disappearance but connected to the girl and an incident in 2019.
Adam Montgomery, 31, of Manchester was arrested on Tuesday on a felony second-degree assault charge as well as interference with custody and two endangering the welfare of a child charges. The charges pertain to an incident involving Harmony Montgomery, 7, who was last seen in October 2019, however, police did not release specific information about what occurred.
On Tuesday, members of the Manchester Police SWAT team and Special Enforcement Division (SED) were seen several times around the city during the afternoon and evening. Sources said this was related to the search for Adam Montgomery. Information obtained verified later that Adam Montgomery had been living in multiple sober houses around Manchester and also was living in Maine. At least three of the Manchester sober houses he was living in are run by different organizations.

To maintain residency in a sober house, participants must follow strict rules which include curfews, drug screening, and continued substance abuse counseling. Any violations of the house rules can force the person to leave the sober house.

Adam Montgomery is expected to be arraigned in the Hillsborough County Superior Court North on Wednesday. The arraignment is expected to take place via WebEx at 11 a.m.
Despite the arrest, the search for Harmony continues. Officials are requesting the public’s assistance in locating her. A $33,000 reward is being offered.
