Fire At NH's Santa's Village

A fire broke out at Santa's Village in Jefferson, New Hampshire, at the attraction's Polar Theater.

JEFFERSON, NH — A fire broke out Tuesday night at New Hampshire's Santa's Village amusement park. The fire started in an upstairs room in the attraction's Polar Theater, according to park officials. Santa's Village is in Jefferson in the White Mountains.

"Everyone is safe, and damage was minimal, thanks to the efforts of local firefighters from many surrounding towns," the park said in a statement.

There was smoke and water damage throughout the theater building, which was closed for repairs. The park was open as usual Wednesday.

"We're thankful for the care, concern, and support of so many friends and neighbors," the park added.

Firefighters from Jefferson, Lancaster, Whitefield, Twin Mountain, Dalton and Lunenberg worked together to extinguish the blaze.
